Strengthen Schools

To have one’s own voice, be able to evaluate situations at one’s own intellectual level and to relate to others is central to democracy. Social Science, by its nature is interpretive and multi disciplinary and thereby lends itself to nurturing critical thinking abilities amongst the students.

The curriculum has been designed to nurture critical thinking which entails sub capacities such as logical reasoning, suspending judgement, considering a subject from multiple perspectives, seeking evidence etc. Themes for discussions are drawn from current affairs and linking the concepts which are part of the school curriculum to real life settings.

The teaching learning process involves progressive approaches such as discussion based pedagogy, project based learning and experiential learning.
