School Based Work
How children are taught to think and solve problems in school is how they will think and solve problems out of school. With this understanding, we offer bespoke programs for schools with the objective of strengthening them to nurture socio emotional wellbeing and thinking skills in line with the direction outlined in the National Education Policy 2020.
Considering that each school is unique in its own ways, we offer interventions in keeping with the need of the school by adopting a consultative approach.
Our focus areas include
- Overall climate of the school which can nurture Socio Emotional Wellbeing of Students and Teachers
- Progressive teaching learning practices in subjects such as Maths and Social Sciences, in line with the gaps identified by experts in NEP 2020 and relevant curricular frameworks
- Establish the sound alignment of curriculum with teaching learning practices and assessments
When working with Government School Systems, we keep the wider system in view so that the change initiative that is introduced finds its requisite moorings within the administrative structure.
A comprehensive engagement with a school would entail the following approach:
- Phase 1: Preparation and Assessment – this is done by carrying out a school review and capturing information on various dimensions including student learning levels.
- Phase 2:Planning and Development – this is prepared keeping the specific needs of the school in view within the broader scope of socio emotional wellbeing and development of thinking skills after factoring in the school review outcome.
- Phase 3: Roll out and Continual Reflection
- Phase 4:Transition of practices to school
- Phase 5: Sustaining and Embedding – Gradual withdrawal
